Nice to meet you. I’m Greg Goodson, Owner of Foxhaven Photography. 👋
When you hire Foxhaven Photography, you're hiring me to personally handling every shoot, edit, and final delivery to ensure your property is showcased at its very best.
A decade ago, my photography journey began as a weather enthusiast in eastern Colorado, where I picked up my first camera to capture the storms I chased. That's how it all began. Soon after, I transitioned into the world of landscape and bird photography.
The Birth of Foxhaven Photography. In 2020, Foxhaven Photography sprang to life from my desire to assist family and friends who owned short-term rental properties in the area. I launched a website and portfolio, and my mission has remained clear since: to deliver top-quality photos as a friendly and dependable professional.
A Local Perspective. As a resident of central Virginia and an ardent outdoor enthusiast, I've cultivated a deep admiration for Virginia's Blue Ridge Mountains, its rich culture, and the vibrant communities within. This deep-rooted passion infuses every photoshoot I undertake.
The Tools of the Trade. I am committed to delivering excellence in every picture taken, and to achieve this. My trusted gear includes Nikon cameras and Nikon and Tamron photography lenses, with the Nikon Z8 and Nikon D850 serving as my primary camera bodies. For real estate photography, my lens of choice is the Tamron SP 15-30mm F/2.8 Di VC USD G2, closely followed by the Tamron SP 24-70mm F2.8 Di VC USD G2. I utilize the DJI Mavic 3 Pro as my unmanned aircraft system (drone) of choice, enhancing the visual possibilities of each photoshoot from the air.
My Business Principles. At Foxhaven Photography, I uphold the values of quality, value, and exceptional customer service. My commitment to excellence resonates within the Charlottesville community and its surrounding areas. I take pride in being approachable, meticulous in my work, and combining an artistic flair with an eye for marketing.
When I’m Not Working. When I don’t have a camera in my hand, I usually have a pair of running shoes on my feet or a mandolin in my hand (I play in a bluegrass band here in Charlottesville). Occasionally you’ll find me working on a side project called What's This Cloud, a resource aimed at making it easy for individuals to learn cloud identification. I also provide digital marketing and web design services through my consultancy, Foxhaven Digital. I’m a proud Ramblin’ Wreck from Georgia Tech, graduating from the Scheller College of Business with a BS in Business Administration in 2006 (more about me on my personal website).
I look forward to working with you. Please reach out if you’d like to chat!
