A photographer shaped by weather, landscape, and the people who call Central Virginia home.

My photography journey began more than a decade ago as a weather enthusiast in eastern Colorado, where I picked up my first camera to photograph the storms I chased. From there, I moved into landscape and bird photography, work that taught me patience, timing, and how much a scene can change with the light.

The birth of Foxhaven Photography.

In 2020, Foxhaven Photography grew from my desire to help family and friends who owned short-term rental properties in the area. I built a website and portfolio around a simple mission that still guides the business: create top-quality photographs while being friendly, dependable, and easy to work with.

A local perspective.

As a Central Virginia resident and outdoor enthusiast, I have a deep appreciation for the Blue Ridge Mountains, the region’s character, and the communities within it. That connection shapes how I photograph a property in its setting: not just as a collection of rooms, but as a place someone will call home or choose for a stay.

The tools of the trade.

I use professional Nikon camera systems, Tamron lenses, and DJI aerial equipment because the tools have to be dependable when clients and light are on the clock. My primary camera bodies include the Nikon Z8 and Nikon D850, with lenses selected to render interiors and architecture accurately.

My business principles.

Quality, value, and exceptional client service are at the center of the work. I take pride in being approachable, meticulous, and responsive while combining an artistic eye with a practical understanding of property marketing.

When I’m not working.

When I don’t have a camera in my hand, I usually have running shoes on my feet or a mandolin in my hand. I play in a bluegrass band in Charlottesville, provide digital marketing and web design services through Foxhaven Digital, and work on my passion project What’s This Cloud. I’m a proud graduate of Georgia Tech. Go Jackets!
